热塑性弹性体TPE/TPR，又称人造橡胶或合成橡胶。其产品既具备传统交联硫化橡胶的高弹性、耐老化、耐油性各项优异性能，同时又具备普通塑料加工方便、加工方式广的特点。可采用注塑、挤出、吹塑等加工方式生产，水口边角粉碎后100%直接二次使用。既简化加工过程，又降低加工成本，因此热塑性弹性体TPE/TPR材料已成为取代传统橡胶的最新材料，其环保、无毒、手感舒适、外观精美，使产品更具创意。因此也是一支更具人性化、高品位的新型合成材料，也是世界化标准性环保材料。

This standard specifies requirements for materials used for moulded seals only of thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) used in joints of: 1) thermoplastic piping systems for non-pressure waste water discharge (intermittent flow up to 95 C) inside buildings; 2) thermoplastic piping systems for non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage (continuous flow up to 45 C and intermittent flow up to 95 C); 3) thermoplastic rainwater piping systems. General requirements for finished joint seals are also given; any additional requirements called for by the particular application are specified in the relevant product standards taking into account that the performance of pipe joints is a function of the seal material properties, seal geometry and pipe joint design. 本标准规定了仅用于热塑性弹性体（TPE）的模制密封件的材料要求，该材料用于：1）建筑物内无压废水排放（间歇流量高达95摄氏度）的热塑性管道系统；2） 用于无压地下排水和排污的热塑性管道系统（连续流量高达45摄氏度，间歇流量高达95摄氏度）；3） 热塑性雨水管道系统。还给出了成品接头密封件的一般要求；考虑到管道接头的性能是密封材料性能、密封几何形状和管道接头设计的函数，相关产品标准中规定了特定应用要求的任何附加要求。
