当墙体上开设门窗洞口且墙体洞口大于300mm时，为了支撑洞口上部砌体所传来的各种荷载，并将这些荷载传给门窗等洞口两边的墙，常在门窗洞口上设置横梁，该梁称为过梁。过梁的种类有两种，有现浇和预制两种。

This European Standard specifies requirements for prefabricated lintels for maximum spans of 4,5 m and made from steel, autoclaved aerated concrete, manufactured stone, concrete, fired clay units, calcium silicate units, natural stone units, or a combination of these materials.
Concrete and steel beams conforming to EN 1090-1, EN 12602 and EN 13225, as appropriate,
are not covered by this standard. 本欧洲标准规定了最大跨度为4.5m的预制过梁的要求，这些过梁由钢、蒸压加气混凝土、人造石、混凝土、烧结粘土单元、硅酸钙单元、天然石单元或这些材料的组合制成。符合EN 1090-1、EN 12602和EN 13225（视情况而定）的混凝土和钢梁，不在本标准范围内。
